New research shows that alcohol, if consumed by men in mooderation, decreases the chances of heart attack. On the other hand, researchers found that one of the reasons for high blood pressure is consuming too much alcohol. It is not a secret that alcohol can severely damage your liver, brain and cardiovascular system.
Hypertension is called a silent killer because it that can lead to deadly heart attacks, kidney and heart failure, strokes and premature deaths. In most cases people with high blood pressure do not pay attention to the symptoms until it is too late.
What happens to your body when you drink?
The body goes into a shock mode, where all of the internal organs and defense mechanism are fighting with a threat known as alcohol. Your liver takes a lot of effort to clean the blood out, your kidneys work hard to release that poison and your heart beats irregularly because of the system overload. This is all happening while your body processing foods and fights with pollution and other environmental crap.
Well, what about a body that is already suffering, a body with hypertension. First of all, it is already having difficulties distributing all the nutrients to the organs because some arteries are blocked and the heart working extra hard to pump that blood through.
